Special Solar Loan Facility

All the clients of Golden Rays (Pvt) Ltd are eligible for obtaining 4% per annum loan facility provided by 10 banking partners.

Eligible sub projects

  • Up to 100% financing for residential systems up to Rs 1.5 million
  • Up to 80% financing for all other systems
  • Solar Photovoltaic system of up to 50 kW capacity to be installed on the rooftop of an existing permanent residential or commercial building
  • Single borrower may avail multiple loans subject to the maximum solar power installation capacity of 50 kW

Loan Approval Process

  1. Contact Golden Rays Solar (Pvt) Ltd.
  2. Golden Rays Solar (Pvt) Ltd requests initial clearance from CEB/LECO.
  3. CEB/LECO issues clearance certificate.
  4. Select a bank.
  5. Bank approves the loan.
  6. Bank pays advance payment to Golden Rays Solar (Pvt) Ltd
  7. Golden Rays Solar (Pvt) Ltd completes the installation
  8. Charted Engineer visits the site and issues a compliance certificate.
  9. Grid connection is requested by Golden Rays Solar (Pvt) Ltd and the Client
  10. Client signs the agreement with CEB/LECO. Then system is connected to the national grid.

  12. Bank pays the balance payment to Golden Rays Solar (Pvt) Ltd

2. What is the minimum-monthly income that required from both salary and business to be eligible for the grant of a loan?
Your income excluding current commitments should be adequate to cover monthly interest and installments due on the solar loan.

3. Can I apply for a loan for enhancement of my existing solar system?
Yes, as long as the enhancement has been approved by the CEB/LECO as applicable to your location.

4. What are the collateral that I need to be submitted?
The bank will evaluate your application and advise you on the collateral required.

5. What are the required documents that need to be submitted by both salaried and business to apply the loan scheme?

A technical and financial proposal from the Golden Rays Solar (Pvt) Ltd
A copy of your latest electricity bill
Approval for the proposed system capacity from CEB/LECO
Copy of NIC Card
Copy of Receipt of Municipal Tax Payment
